Vegan White Cheese
Prep and Cook Time: 20 minutes
Servings: 2 Wheels
Ingredients
1. 1 cup of raw cashew
2. 1 ½ cup cold water divided
3. 2 tbsp nutritional yeast
4. 1 tsp salt
5. 1 ½ tbsp tapioca starch or corn starch organic
6. ¼ tsp garlic powder
7. 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
8. 1 tsp apple cider
9. 1 ½ tbsp agar agar powder
Method
1. Add cup of cashew into a bowl.
2. Add sprinkle of salt.
3. Add cold water and allow it to soak for 3-4 hours.
4. Add soaked cashew, nutritional yeast, salt, starch, garlic powder, lemon juice, vinegar, and 1 cup of water into the blender. Mix until smooth.
5. Add agar agar powder into a sauce pan with ½ cup of water.
6. Turn stove on medium heat.
7. Place saucepan on the stove. Stir the agar agar powder mix. Add cheese sauce while stirring.
8. Stir until thickens.
9. Pour into 2 small cheese molds.
10. Allow the wheels to cool of them put them in the fridge for 4-6 hours to solidify.
